On Saturday 6th May 2023, Martin McHollan of Primafruit joined the Sport Parkinson team of cyclists in their incredible John O’Groats to Lands’ End bike ride challenge.
The intrepid cyclists, all of whom have Parkinson’s Disease, took on the grueling 1000-mile journey aiming to complete it in just 10 days!!
The team took it in turns with the pedal power, covering between 25-45 miles each per day. With their support crew ready, their provisions set and the extra padding packed for the saddles, the team braved the variable weather the UK has to offer, cursed their saddles on multiple occasions and were even joined by Sir Chris Hoy for a very special day of cycling.
All their hard work paid off, raising over £12,000 for Sport Parkinson's Healthy & Strong fund. An incredible achievement. Well done everyone!!
